Last Sunday we had the opportunity to premiere Shine: The Griffin Shaw Story at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas. It was a powerful and emotional service, focusing on how God shepherds us through even the most difficult and unimaginable of life experiences.
In honor of the Shaw family, the trees at Northwest Bible Church donned yellow ribbons and the sanctuary was lit in yellow. The service opened with a time of worship; and following the screening of the film and Pastor Neil Tomba’s message, the worship team sang a beautiful rendition of “Thy Will Be Done” by Hilary Scott. The song was especially meaningful to the Shaw family, as they listened to it frequently during their final days in the hospital with Griffin.
At the end of the service, the family was welcomed to the stage with a standing ovation. Both Bryan and Joli shared words expressing their gratitude in having the opportunity to share what Griffin meant to them and taught them.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday in supporting the Shaw family, and to our donors who make these stories possible. It is because of your generosity that we were able to capture the Shaw’s story as soon as it was brought to us, and to give them this film to share Griffin’s legacy with others.
You can help us share our next inspiring story of hope and perseverance!
