At just 11-years-old Kevin was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in one of his legs. Following extensive surgery – including a knee replacement and titanium rod being placed in his leg – chemotherapy and nearly a year in a wheelchair, Kevin was declared cancer-free. When Leslie discovered she was expecting a baby girl with dwarfism, a birth defect extremely rare for parents of average height, she feared the road both her and her daughter would traverse alone. But one day a trip with her son to the pediatrician, would lead Leslie – and Lilah – to the exact friendship they needed.
When father and husband Andrew learned his second battle with cancer would be terminal, he didn’t shrink back from sharing his incredible faith in life’s gray areas through his blog and book-writing. As we captured Andrew’s final days with his family at home, we saw just how certainly Andrew’s message and story would live on through his wife Bailey and daughter Ellie.
